The Michigan Panthers and the UFL fanbase received devastating news from Coach Mike Nolan on Tuesday as he stated that Frank Ginda was headed to the IR and done for the regular season. Coach Nolan said the earliest he would be back would possibly be the Championship game if they make it that far.
Today, as reported by James Larsen from Pro Football Newsroom, the Michigan Panthers have added LB London Harris and DE Jesus Gibbs to the Roster.
Here are some things to know about each of the two new signees:
LB London Harris, Texas State
London Harris played for Texas State from 2018 to 2022, with one of those years serving as a teammate to Michigan Panthers hero Jake Bates. Jake Bates was a kickoff specialist for the team at the time. At Linebacker, London posted 160 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 9 tackles for loss, 3 Pass Deflections, 2 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries over a 4 year career with Texas State. At London’s pro day, he ran a 4.63 40 yard dash and 38 inch vertical jump. He will provide some depth at Linebacker for the Panthers behind Javin White and Noah Dawkins
DE Jesus Gibbs, Towson
Originally scouted out of high school as one of the top offensive lineman, Gibbs was recruited to South Carolina before transferring to Towson to play on the Defensive Line. While at Towson, Gibbs achieved 2023 All-CAA Second Team defensive line, 2023 Phil Steele All-CAA Second Team defensive line, 2022 All-CAA Second Team defensive line accolades. Gibbs will help provide depth for the injured DT Daniel Wise.
Michigan Panthers travel to face the DC Defenders Sunday May 12th at Noon EST.
